Ethereal

February 2, 2016 was when I made the initial sketch. I was really excited with the forms I made and decided to do my first digital landscape.

There was a reason why this piece took me a year to finish. Everything you see here has changed dramatically, and I mean, /everything/. Every drawing session I did, ranging from 30 minutes to 6 hours straight, had something new to add in, remove, or alter. Only a few examples: I wasn't happy with the composition, the time of day, color scheme, brush texture, or the pose of the archer. I had to put this painting on hiatus many times. But it was all worth the pain to finalize the results as this.

I did have a story to this piece as well, but that is up to the viewer for interpretation... yes, even the initial back story changed along the way!
